A lovely place to stay right on the beach. Very friendly and helpful hosts always available and keen to help you enjoy your stay. No need of a tour operator
Just returned from Koko Irene, think that they could have been cleaner.
Just answering my own question yes there are safes in the rooms.Just have come back and had a wonderful time at the studios and resort both where perfect, The studios are basic but totally adequiet and are in a magic location. The resort is really peaceful and easy going and as our rep put it full of Greek maybe time. Must also before Igo reccomend a Greek gyros from the hotel Kordistos beach restuarent only 170 euro homemade fantastic. Looking to go back.
I am going to the KoKo Irene apartments in a few weeks and just wondered if there was any saftey deposit boxes available.or anywhere=to keep your valubles safe.If anybody who has been could give me this information it would be appreciated.

We went to koko irene apartment for a week beg of august 2005, we found the owner excellent, apartment cleaned every two days, bed made every two days,
right next to the F2 windsurf centre, what more do you want, could check out the flags from my bed.very clean well used furniture but that is the price you pay for being popular, most people around middle age come back to these every year.we have booked for next year already.
My friend and I stayed one week from 5th June 04 to 12th June 04. The rooms were clean and there was a beautifull view from balcony. It was quiet and right on the beach. We enjoyed Meltimi to eat at lunchtime and evening. (We did not like the so called famous restaurant Tonys next door to Irenes - their attitude rather destroyed the famous greek hospitality.)Opposite Irenes there was a friendly supermarket Oasis ,ATM and a little snack bar Riverside-very handy for nightcaps and having chats with local people. We had a really relaxing time-
THE STUDIOS ARE WELL LOCATED AND ARE CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINE MY WIFE AND MYSELF SPENT 3 WEEKS FROM THE 7 OF JUNE TO THE 28 OF JUNE 2004 THERE IS A GOOD CHOICE OF BARS AND TAVERNAS + PLACES TO EAT.
"THE ROCK GARDEN" INPERTICULAR IS A GOOD PLACE TO EAT WITH A WIDE RANGE OF MEALS AND DRINKS ON THE MENU.
Small two-storey block of 10 apartments, all with balconies and a wonderfull view of Kamari bay, 200 metre walk to the beach along a flat path. Apartments are clean, with the usual pine furniture, and fridge/sink/hob unit. 25 minutes or so walk to the harbour area, about 40 minutes up the hill to Kefalos town. Cash machine opposite, several tavernas nearby, and two supermarkets and car hire places within 5 minutes
