Stenna Apartments Kefalos
One of Kefalos’s best kept secrets in my opinion, snuggled away on the back road leading to the Kontessa. A 5min stroll to the Harbour Road and to Galini’s (Georges) which offers a varied menu while still offering good value for money and you’re always assured of a warm welcome from the ‘family’.
These apartments offer excellent value for money.
Inside the 1 bed apt’s there is ample space for three adults, the kitchen area is basic with two ring electric hob and kettle (can’t remember seeing a toaster) there is a table and chairs as well as an easy chair, the third bed is within this area and there’s still enough room. The wardrobe space is large enough, a safe is in here as well, with hangers although there are no drawers.
The bathroom shower area is large by some standards and there was always plenty of hot water as well.
The bedroom has two singles which can be pushed together without any hassle there is a small 2 drawer unit with a large mirror.
And in turn it leads out to a balcony which has a table & chairs. This area offers lovely views across the bay and to the mountain the sunrise is something to behold absolutely breathtaking!!!
Stena, whose owns the apartments, runs them with her sister and nothing is a bother all you have to do is ask. They were cleaned to a good standard through out our stay. You can book the apartments through the normal travel agent route or by logging onto lowcostbeds.com
Or by dealing direct with the owners on 00302242071629 and ask for Maria
We would definitely go back no prob’s!!!!!!!

I stayed at Stena Apartments in July 04 & July 05. We would like to revisit but since Golden Sun went bust we cannot find a tour operator who uses the Stena apartments. Could anybody point me in the right direction? |

We have just come back from Kos - we were there from the 30 August 2006 for a week.
The location of the Apartments was great with a nice view of Kefalos and the sea from the first floor. The Apartments have no reception - so anything that you want really needs to be sorted out via your Rep. The owners are around occasionally, but communication is hard if like me you can't speak any Greek! The Apartments are a really good size, with a huge kitchen/dinner area when you first walk in, a large wardrobe, small bathroom and a good sized bedroom and balcony. They have a fridge (with a small freezer compartment), kettle and two cooking rings, no shower curtain in the bathroom though. You can hire a fan for 15 Euros and a safe deposit box for 10 Euros. You've got the option to keep the room on late - up until 8pm is 20 Euros and is well worth it if you've got a late night flight! There is no pool on site, but there is one at Kontessa Hotel which is just a few minutes down the road - the owners there are really friendly. They also exchange money and traverllers cheques at the Kontessa.
The Apartments are just a few minutes walk down to the sea front where there is a good choice of nice bars and restaurants. For us the location was really ideal - nice and quite but within easy walking distance of everything! |

We got back from Stena Apartments last Wednesday and had a fantastic time. The rooms are basic but very clean. They are a great starting point to get to the pool (at Kontessa) and to the beach and super markets (all 5 minutes away). The bus stop is around the corner which takes you to paradise beach and kos town. (its worth getting the speed boat over to paradise beach - which takes you everyday at 10.30 am). Would definitely book these apartments again. Kefalos is lovely, you can either have it quiet or lively in the evening. Everyone was so friendly, especially Maria at the restaurant/bar Acropol. Next time I think we will have to hire a car as we did not get to do much sightseeing of this beautiful island. |

| Hi to everyone. My parents are Stenas'owners. I would like to inform you that for more info please contant to 00302242071629 and ask for Maria (my sister). In 2004 we had a contract with Golden Sun which went bankrupted and we lost our money. In 2005we were working with individual customers (those that come without travel agencies). In 2006 I don't know if we are going to book with a travel agency or we are going to work with individuals!! But I am sure that everyone is wellcome!!! Contact and check the prices for various periods!!! Have a ggod summer!!! |

Stena studios/apts are situated in an excellent position, sea facing with views of the sea. The apts are in a quiet position and are not overlooked. All that seperates you from the seafront and the main road is a field that is 100 meters long which means that you are set back from the main road yet can walk to the sea front in under 3 mins. The accomodation is roughly in the middle of the resort which is just about perfect for enjoying the bars and tavernas of Kefalos. Although basic accomodation, the apts were cleaned on a daily basis and we did not experience any problems. We would certainly go there again as the position of the accomodation would be hard to beat.
