We stayed at the Anastasia Apartments in August 2002, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The studio (upstairs) was superb - white marble everywhere - beautiful. Well furnished, great view, tv available (if you needed it), usual Greek facilities. The beach immediately in front of the apartment was a bit stony, but a walk of about 50 yards (the opposite side of the harbour) took you to a nice sandy one, with the boulders of the harbour on one side, which made snorkelling interesting. The supermarket just over the road was then run by a chap called Nic, who was just the friendliest, most helpful person we have ever met in Greece. We went to the little harbour every day. Although quite tiny, there was something interesting to see. Our all-time favourite excursion was from here, to the nearby volcanic island of Nisyros - wonderful.
I would recommend this holiday to anyone who enjoys (as we do) self-catering in the Greek Islands. | ||||||||||

| Execelent apartments, very clean. Located just off the harbour between Faros resturant and a mini market. Small beach next to apartments is a bit stoney so suggest you buy some shoes if you intened to go in the sea. Food served at Faros is very good and some of the best we had on the island. | ||||||||||

| The apartments are between Faros taverna (which is virtually on the beach by the harbour) and a small supermarket. There are two large trees by the entrance gate to the apartment block. | ||||||||||

| Where exactly are the Anastasia apartments ? We know the harbour area and where Andreas pool is. Are they on the right or left as you go to the village on the back road? | |

| Just returned after spending two weeks in Anastasia Apartments. (Room 8 upstairs) Plenty of space -double bed in bedroom plus two good sized sofa/single beds in the living area. We had two balconies (one each end) both with good views of the bay. Well equipped for cooking (if you want to be bothered!) - a small combination oven/grill with two good sized cooking rings on top and a full sized kettle! Decent sized bathroom with a shower curtain! Supermarkets stock the essentials but are very limited if you want good fresh meat and veg. I would suggest a trip up to the top village or hire a car and go to one of the large supermarkets at Tigaki, Kardamena or there is a very good "Champion" on the main road into Kos town. The resort is very good but definitely could do with a local taxi service or even a "Happy Train" as it can be a bit of a strain on the old legs walking around the bay or up to the old village. An apartment to be recommended - but you need to book early as it is very popular. Happy holidays!! | ||||||||||
