The rooms were kept very clean by 2 nice ladies, but are the smallest apartments i've ever been in, sliding door to a miniture bathroom right next to one of the beds, HOT water on SUNNY days only and that's if you are in the shower before 5pm. As for location the steep hill has to be seen, everybody who stayed there hired a car, (not sure if that was so they did not have to walk up the hill or to get away from the area) We did not receive a warm welcome from the owners, you might get a room with a view if you are lucky. | |

Just come back on Wednesday!! Would recommend these apartments to anyone. The family who run them are very very friendly, nothing is any trouble. Rooms cleaned every other day and trust me they are spotless, oh to have a maid like that at home!!! The view is tremendous, we had a room with a view overlooking the sea, sun in the morning, but when you get back from the beach the room is in shade, perfect! (especially as we have just returned from 45 degree heat!) Beach, bars and restuarants are only five minutes walk away from apartments. Met really friendly people, many who have been before. Would recommend hiring a fan as the gnats enjoy an english dinner!! If you love the Greek Isles give this a go as you will not be disappointed!!! What a fantastic holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These apartments are fantastic. We were there for two weeks, came back two days ago and are desperate to go back! The owners live in the apartments too, to keep an eye on things. The family are friendly, helpful and clearly have real pride in the place. I think most if not all of the rooms were full, but it was very tranquil and peaceful. Several times my boyfriend and I were the only ones by the pool, which was just wonderful.
The room was cleaned four times a week with fresh towels and linen each time. Ok, so there wasn't always hot water, but thats a Greek thing - it's all solar powered so if everyoe has a shower in the evening all the water gets used up and the sun is going down so it doesn't get reheated straight away. But the weather was so hot that a cold shower was lovely anyway!
The apartments have wonderful views from half the rooms of the bay itself whilst the others look out at the pool bar, pool and Kefalos village/castle. The sunset over the village was stunning.
It was a real community atmosphere while we were there, All the guests say hello and chat and loads of us went on Greek night together. The pool bar is lovely for socialising and chatting.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful, tranquil place then Archontia are perfect for you. Best holiday I've ever had and I've been to a lot of places!!!

we have stayed here twice once in june 2005 and just came home after a visit in july this year.the apartments are very clean they are done every other day with clean bedding by a couple of lovely ladys who cant speak a word of english but like to nip the mens cheecks,the showers are very small and have no rail so you have to hold the shower head and wash that way,not a lot of hot water either,but dont let that put you off.the family who run the archontia are really nice george the dad is funny but cant speak english either so asking him anything is no good,dionacia( i think thats how you spell it ) who can be found in the snack bar it so nice and can speak english nothing is too much for her and she works all the hours god sends,you will also meet little georgia probably around the pool,which is nice a proper sun trap,she is the daughter of one of the cleaners,about 5 i think what a caracter she is say hello from us if you meet her. eating out is so cheap in kefalos there are plenty of lovely restaurants to choose from,but stay away from the chinese the golden fleece is good value for money the biggest plate of spag bol youll ever eat for 5 euro,sydneys bar is the place to go for so entertainment we saw tubby broon,obviously not the real one but just as rude,karaokes a good laugh,but if u just want to chill go to marias bar just before sydneys the two brothers who own it yanis and manos dead nice lads,sit and watch the world go by on the harbour,well we will be back again thats for sure.

   THESE STUDIOS ARE WELL WORTH A VISIT WE HAVE BEEN THREE TIMES AND WOULD DEFINATLY GO AGAIN IT IS A FAMILY RUN BUISNESS AND THEY MAKE YOU PART OF THE FAMILY THEY ARE VERY CLEAN AND THE POOL AND SNACK BAR ARE OF EXCELLENT QUAILTY, THERE IS A HILL TO WALK UP BUT WELL WORTH THE WALK I AM ON CRUTCHES AND MANAGED OK, IF YOU CANNOT GET INTO THESE STUDIOS THERE IS ALSO GEORGES APARTMENTS WHICH IS HALF WAY DOWN THE HILL AND THEY SHARE THE POOL AND BAR AS GEORGIE BEST WORKS AT THE BAR OF ARCHONTIA AND A LOVELY MAN HE IS SO MAYBE IF YOU DONT WANT TO WALK TO THE TOP OR ARCHONTIA IS NOT AVAILALBE YOU COULD TRY GEORGIE BEST BUT HE IS NOT IN THE BROCHUR HIS NUMBER IS mobile 6944786374 or home number 2242071196 sorry i dont know the code this is the number he gave me.

Good clean studios,situated just off main road ,just past the police station.on a slight hill We consider them to be in an ideal location to get to all areas..Good views of the bay from some studios ,the other side have views of Kefalos village.Small pool and snack bar run by the family very friendly and helpful. A plus is that you can keep rooms until 2am for those terrible night flights if needed .This is is the second time we have used these studios and will certainly be returning.. | ||||||||||
