We have just returned from Kos and are returning in August with our best friends Sue & Steve. One of our first stops with them will be the Sunburnt Arms. We met Gianni, Sam, Anastasia and Tracey there for the first time on this visit and were very taken with their hostelry and hearty welcome. We used it as an afternoon watering hole and on one occasion tried their breakfast - just scrumptious!!!

Our friend Steve is likely to get a bit 'Greeked out' so he will enjoy the English part of their menu and Sue & I will definately be making good use of the free sunbeds. Something here for everyone in this little oasis, even a boucy thing in the water for the kids (young & old) for a small charge.

Sam was also a absolute mine of info helping me with places to get stuff at the best prices and what we will need to bring from England - Cheers Sam & Ta Ra Gianni!!! See you soon!!!!!

Just back from 2 weeks in Kos town, had to visit after reading these comments. The food, location and service were all great. Try their english breakfast and sunday lunches - you wont find better! Yanni and Sam make you feel welcome from the first time you visit, always coming to your table for a chat. We watched the Greece v France game in there and Yanni was beside himself when they won and proceeded to give everyone in the bar a free shot at full time! Would definately recommend and will definately return!

Tony C

WE visited after seeing good comments. On our 14 day holiday we ended up going every day either to lie on the sun beds and enjoy excellent service from Yanni and Sam or go along at night for a meal and to play bingo, pub quiz or just enjoy the company and friendly service.
Huge menu with mix of snacks and full meals- try the garlic mushrooms.... Sam and Yanni are excellent hosts and their little girl is a real cutie. We were there in July 2003 and although the beach was always busy Yanni always seemed able to find us sunbeds and then keep us well supplied with very cool drinks- even my 15 year old daughter thought it was great fun (and you know what teenagers are like!!!)

For the attention of charlie giles (September 29, 2003)

Hi Charlie, the Sunburnt Arms is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from The Lenaki Apartments. Just turn RIGHT when you come out of The Lenaki and walk STRAIGHT until you reach The CAPTAINS Hotel, turn left then right and it is down by the beach.

It may only be open during the day when you are there as it is the LAST WEEK of the season, but when you are there you can give them a bell.

I highly recommend the Sunburnt Arms to anyone that enjoys tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere with top quality, friendly service. It was the best place to eat during my 2 week stay; particularly the breakfast. Go along to the quiz night also; its a laugh. Best regards to the Yannis and Sam.

When in Kos and looking for a good place on the beach. take advantage of the excellent sunbeds by The Sunburnt Arms. Here you can lap up the sun and be able to have good food and drinks brought to you by the very friendly staff. The menu is extensive and offers everything from a light snack to a full evening meal, I found their Sunday Lunch particularly good value for money. Be sure to visit The Sunburnt Arms on your next visit to Kos, you won't be disapoointed.

The Sunburnt Arms is situated on the beach on the Lambi side of town. It is run by Yiannis and Sam, and Yiannis's father does the cooking, he is the number one chef in Kos. We like The Sunburnt Arms as it feels like home from home. Try it you'll like it.
