Hi Jet,

Just read your comment that Elaine is now back at Angela Apts. Is Lorraine still in Kos too?
We were unable to visit last year but looks like we may be over there this Sept.

Cheers

We have just returned from the angela apartments in tingaki kos, and i must say that for the price that we had paid that it was well worth the money. We paid £500 for two people for one week. The apartments are clean. We did have a few concerns though:

The cleaner did not do a very good job, as she would hose down the floor tiles outside our room at 07:30am every morning splashing our door and waking us up (we set our alarm for 9:00), in doing this she sprayed the water under our door and abosolutley soaked our floor inside the apartment which we thought is quite dangerous as i am pregnant so me falling over would not of been the best end of our holiday(plus my husband would of hit the roof). The cleaner also only changed one of our bed, the bed are two single bed pushed together to make a double, which leaves a huge gap in between so you can't sleep together as such as one of you would fall down tha gap, anyway the cleaner only changed the sheets on one of these bed as the other one had 3 items of clothing on, t-shirt, shorts and a kaftan and becasue this items were on the bed she could not ne bothered to move them to change the sheets so she left the dirty ones on. We acutally laughed at this as she would of been better off not changing any at all! Our balcony view was of the fire escape stairs which we were disapointed with. We were in room 50 which is next to the bar, but the music does get turned down after midnight so its not to bad, i do think that we did get the short straw with that room, but hey for the price its good. We did have our towles change three times.

The pool is way to small for the amount of rooms there are in these apartments, there are only 15 sunbeds, but as it is an english accomodation there were no towles left on the sunbed while people when back to bed, actully most people when they had enough they took there towles and left the sunbeds free for others to use, well apart from two girls who just left there towles all day when they wernt even there, but you always get one that ruins it. There are two blocks for the angela i would have to say they there were at least 80 rooms for these apartments so 15 sunbed were not enough the photos are quite deceiving as they do make to pool look bigger then what is really is. It is about 8ft X 24ft which is too small for the amount of people staying here.

Tingaki is a great resort we loved it there so much that we are going aback in six weeks but we are not staying at the angela this time we checked out another apartment with a huge pool. The people of Kos are just so warm and friendly they are the nicest Greek people that we have meet out of the greek island that we have visited.

The beach is not so great as the sand is littered and they dont combe it each day,and the sea has about 8ft of seaweed you need to walk through before you get into the sea, so we spent our time round a pool.

And to answear my question from before yes there are safe boxes, air con is 5E a day, safe box i cant remember but was not that much, we kept the room until 11;00pm as were were not getting picked up until 2;00am or else were would of had to of been out of out room at noon, this was an extra 35E.

Hi, me and my girlfriend have just returned from Tingaki and we must say it was the best holiday we have ever been on. The Angela Appartments were absolutly supurb.

Before we went I was a bit sceptic due to some of the negative somments, but as you can see from the photos the plae was lovely.

The owner Nikki, her famiy and everyone else who worked there really made the holiday a pleasure.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable with the maid changing towels and sheets every other day. The maid also cleans the rooms until they are spotless.

The pool is small compared to other places, but it adds to the character of the hotel, there are approx 18 sunbeds around the pool which is ample for a hotel of this size. The staff and nikki made sure there were always sundbeds free for poeple to use by removing peoples towels off the beds if they had been in no use within two hours.

The hotel also has it's own mini supermarket with prices comparable to the larger market up the road. In the evenings around the pool bar you will never pay the same amount for a round of drinks as they just keep getting cheaper as the night goes on.

Nikki laid on a greek nigh BBQ during the week which cost 10 euros per person with children being half the price. This was a great night with loads of food, as much as you can eat, and greek dancing and singing.

Myself and my boyfriend are going to the Angela in September, I was wondering if anyone has any contact details for Nikki, or whoever runs the place? I have a question I would like to ask.

Thanks
Sharon

click to enlarge  Hi My wife and myself are going back to the Angela Apartments in May, this will be our sixth year running. We cannot fault it for the cost, there are so many places to eat, George ( Nickys Husband) runs the resturaunt across the road. We have never had a bad meal  there or any where on the island, and the whole family treat you as one of them. Also where in England can you go on holiday  the following year and the hotel owners in the whole of the town remember you.

My daughter, sister inlaw and my self spent a lovely two weeks at the Angela in August 2007,the weather was fab! As for some of the other comments on this web page YES the cooking facilities are basic but who wants to cook while on holiday when you can go across the road and eat George's (I recommend the beef stifado) and as for cleanliness, the maid comes in every other day to clean, change the beds and towels.(what more more do you want)
Nicky and her family are very kind and friendly they make you feel right at home,so much so I have just returned from another weeks holiday (this time on my own).
I would highly recommend the Angela to anyone whether you are single,a couple or a family you will be made to feel at home!!!!
Thanks again to all at the Angela for a lovely holiday, see you again in 2008
