Hiya I've just booked for the first time to the Sunset Apts. I booked through a website called, www.travelrepublic.co.uk. They aren't a tour operator but they do flight also and are ABTA bonded and been going a fair few years. Booked flights separate through XL.com. Hope these apts are as good as everyone says!!!!

Just come back from Tingaki with two girlfriends,we were taking a break as we all had special birthdays this year.We had a fabulous time.we stayed in the sunset apartments on the whole the room was good, plenty of space, our only disappointment was the bathroom,it could have done with a good clean!Fantastic view from the balcony.Great pool. However location was great, everything was close by,buses ran a good service to other islands. We spent our evenings in Margaritta's which was owned by a wonderful man called Leftie.(Recommended by a couple)Just 5 minutes away. Thanks Annie and Baz! He made us feel very welcome,we met some wonderful people in the bar were we gathered each evening for chat and laughter. We were looking for somewhere relaxing, peaceful and we found it here. We would go back again as the people are fantastic, those who work there and the people you meet. Thanks guys for a great holiday!!!!

Clean, basic apartments. Lovely pool area with good pool bar that does snacks. Bit of a trek to the beach (20 minutes). Big supermarket opposite, bars and tavernas within 10 minutes walk. Only downside was that our apartment was off a communual corridor which was like an echo chamber and we were frequently woken early in the morning by other guests slamming doors.

Me and my partner were also at Sunset hotel 4th July to 18th and had an absolutely fantastic holiday, thank you to everyone at Sunset for making it so good. We had a view of the pool and the sea, excellent aircon, fridge and hot water all the time. Very clean apartment, maids were spot on. It's about 20 minutes walk to the beach and less to the bars and restaurants, nice flat easy stroll. Lovely beach, 6 euros for 2 beds and an umbrella. Everything was perfect and we have now booked to go back on 26th September for another 2 weeks. ![]()

I wouldn't go back to Tingaki without staying in this hotel. The place is fantastic! There was only my partner and myself and our room had four beds in it! The room was much bigger than we had expected! We had a dressing table, fridge with a freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, oven rings, wardrobe, etc. The only thing we didn't have which would have been handy was a pair of scissors! Our room had a balcony which overlooked the pool (see photo). We could also see Kalymnos and Turkey from our balcony. The hotel itself had a childrens pool and an adult pool (although children seemed to prefer the adult pool!). A warning though, the main pool is very deep (about 3.5 metres in the deepest part!). There were free sunbeds around the pool (without cushioning so we reccomend you buy lilos when you arrive or if you are lucky like we were, people leaving will leave theirs behind for you!). You do not NEED to go out early to get a sunbed either although we often went out and put our towels down because we were up. The pools got cleaned every day (scooped, hoovered, etc) and the sunbeds washed. Other facilities at the hotel included crazy golf, table tennis, tennis court, basketball, pool table and big screen TV in reception area showing sports events. There were two bars - a pool side bar open 10am til 6pm (ran by the fantastic Illios) and a bar in the reception area open 6pm til 2am. The pool side bar serves snacks throughout the day although you are best off waiting until the maid arrives around 12:30ish as she can make anything you want (bacon, eggs, chicken, salads, toasted sandwhiches, etc) - Illios could only make burgers or chips. Food and drinks were reasonably priced too. The staff at the hotel were fantastic. They went out of thier way to make your holiday the best. Rooms were cleaned every day apart from Sunday and sheets were changed once a week. One day we had to have the Doctor out to our room and he prescribed some medicine for my partner which we had to collect from the Chemist. Since it was Sunday the nearest Chemist was in Kos Town and only one would be open, the man on the reception desk at the time said he would ring his brother for me (who also worked at the hotel) and have him collect it and bring it to the hotel for us! The other staff were fab too! We had a massive Supermarket opposite the hotel which sold everything we could have needed and we were only about 1km from the beach. We stayed in July and the weather was very hot. Air conditioning is available at a charge of 100 Euros for 2 weeks or fans can be hired from Theokritos Travel (situated on the main road, on the left hand side as if you were facing the beach). We managed without either but thought we would mention it anyway! Fantastic hotel, fantastic staff, great location - would definately return!

I stayed at Sunset between 2nd and 9th June this year with my mum. Didn't have an iron or hairdryer in my room, so best take your own. See my review posted in "resorts" section. Don't be put off by my view of hotel though. We all expect and want different things from our holidays. On the whole Sunset Aparthotel is set in an ideal location, not too far away from the restaurants, bars and the beautiful beach. Hotel staff were helpful and always polite and rooms were cleaned every day.

Thanks guys for another fantastic holiday. Great room, great staff, great times and great memories. For people who have not been to the Sunset I would highly recommend it. The rooms are what people should come to expect of Greece - clean, equipped with enough to make a brew and a snack and a bonus for the sunset - mossie nets on the window, air con etc etc etc. All the rooms i've stayed in have had either a view of the sea in the distance or a view of the mountains (my fave!!!). The staff are great & very helpful. The owner Terry and his 2 sons Nikos & Tony are very friendly and if you need anything just ask them, they get it sorted straight away. The pool is massive with plenty of beds around and a nice covered area by the pool bar so you can cool off. The food is excellent - the usual stuff you can expect like burgers and omelettes and massive salads. There is a little bar in reception too which opens into an outdoor area (although it was abit chilly when we were there).
Tingaki has a great choice of places to go in the evening for people of all ages - try as many as possible and you will have a great time!
For our honeymoon we went to Las Vegas and stayed at the MGM Grand a beautiful 5 star hotel.
Where would we choose to go?
SUNSET - might not be 5 star classified but offers 5 star staff and service!!!! Highly recommended!!!!
