| I stayed at the Maritina Mare with a friend, at the end of September 2003. We found the location was perfect, only a minute bus journey into town. The surrounding areas were quiet and very relaxing and yet there were still plenty of places to go. The staff in the hotel were great, really friendly and attentive to our needs (hi Billy!) We spent most of our day by the pool and it was very relaxing. The pool was cleaned regularly and was generally in very good condition. The rooms were small, but perfect for the type of holiday we were on. The weather was so hot - why stay in? The holiday was great, and Maritina Mare staff really looked after us, we'll be back next year!!! | ||||||||||

| I was on holiday at the Maritina Mare this year in September and have just been reviewing the comments and could not believe my eyes. The Maritina Mare is a fantastic place to stay and all the staff are brilliant, they will go out of their way to help you. It seems to me the people who book cheap last minute deals expect and think they should be staying in some luxury 5* accomodation. Yes the rooms were small and basic, but this is what is normal for Greece. At the end of the day how much time do you actually spend in your room whilst on holiday? Our room was cleaned every day by a russian lady who was very pleasant. Yes there were insects landing in the pools sometimes, but the hotel is in the countryside so you can expect to see creatures and insects. The pool was cleaned every day by Ali who also fished out any unwanted visitors in the pool with his net regularly. We travelled with Libra Holidays and our rep, Zoe was extremely professional, very hard working she never seemed to be away from the hotel. I am planning a holiday again to Kos next year and hope to RETURN TO THE MARITINA MARE bringing my kids as well this time. The maritina mare is a great place to stay and all the staff there make you feel so welcome. Don't believe everything you read, book a holiday AND SEE FOR YOURSELVES!!! | ||||||||||

| I recently returned from a 2 week holiday in Kos, staying at the Maritina Mare and I had a fantastic time. The staff are absolutely brilliant, they cant do enough for you. Our room was cleaned every day by a russian lady, BBQ and evening entertainment was very good. The room was very basic, but you expect this in greece, at the end of the day how much time do you actually spend in your room whilst on holidaY? Yes there were a few insects landing in the pool but because the maritina mare is in the countryside you can expect insects, mosquitos etc. They are the national pets of Greece!! The pool was cleaned every day by Ali, who was fantastic and he also went round regularly with his net to fish out any unwanted visitors to the pool!! We travelled with Libra holidays and our rep Zoe was extremely professional and gave us lots of useful information at the welcome meeting. I had one of the best holidays I have ever had and will DEFINATELY RETURN to the Maritina Mare. Pay no attention to Genette O'Grady who has been bad mouthing the Maritina Mare on several web-sites, book a holiday & see for yourselves. Expect to receive a warm welcome from all the staff. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED, BELIEVE ME!!!! | ||||||||||

| I spent a week at the Maritina Mare Apparetments, and certainly cannot complain about anything (well, maybe the food at the pool bar could be improved). I booked as a last minute deal, and was plesantly surprised. It seems that the staff have improved their service since previous people left their comments. The pool was constantly being cleaned, the rooms were cleaned every day, and the environment was quiet and relaxing. The staff were friendly, and small shop was great for snacks. I wouldn't plan to use the appartments if I wanted to cook as, although there was a fridge, with an Ice Box, it's hard to cook on only 2 burners. There was a slight ant problem, but then you get that anywhere where it's hot, and it wasn't disasterous. The bathroom was clean, and the beds comfortable. I am planning another trip to Kos next year, and would plan to stay at the appartments again. You get basic, but clean accomodation, in an area that's close to town, but not noisy. | ||||||||||

| We stayed at Maritina Mare Studios at 8/6/03. We were surprized to be found at this kind of a hotel for the money we had paid! Our room was small, but it was perfectly cleaned every day.The surroundings were great, nice and clean pool, very friendly staff. We recommend Maritina Mare hotel, we will go there again. | We read some mixed views about these appartments, so we were a bit worried about it. However the appartments were clean and not shabby as we were expecting. We had maid service everyday, but apart from pushing the beds back together and emptying the bins, I'm not sure what she did! We went in the middle of august but our room never really got hot. We were on the ground floor and had a bit of a problem with ants, but nothing too major. Our toilet kept flushing constantly, and it took the hotel manager four days to get it fixed. But hey, we did have a shower curtain AND a plug! The Maritine Mare is in a great location, pretty quiet but in easy reach of many tavernas, and only a 10 minute bus ride away to Kos Town. If I went back to Kos Town I wouldn't stay at the Maritina Mare again. But if you have already book the appartments then don't worry, they are not that bad! | ||||||||||

| We returned from Kos yesterday and would not go back to Martinia Mare ever again. We expected basic but in addition, Maritina Mare was very shabby and generally dirty, although we were told the rooms were cleaned 6 times per week (we saw no evidence of this). The swimming pool would have been lovely if it had been cleaned (permanently full of bugs and insects and we never once saw anyone clean it). Pool bar expensive with very very poor quality food. The staff were freindly but overall the apartments were very disappointing. | ||||||||||
