We have just returned from Kos after getting married there.  We stayed at the Continental along with another 8 of our party, I would reccommend the Continental Palace to anyone.  The staff there are amazing, they can not do enough for you.  We decided to have our wedding reception at the hotel and they put 110% into making it a completely beautiful setting, we had flower petals put on our bed whilst we were getting married and the receptionists were quick with water and tissues when my emotions got the better of me on the morning of our wedding!  It is a 15 minute walk from the centre or 90 cent on the bus, 5 Euro in a taxi.  You have to be up early if you want a bed around the pool, though they do have a policy where if you are away from the pool for more than 20 mins they can remove your towels for other customers to use them. Just over the road you can hire 2 beds with an umbrella and 2 bottles of water for 5 Euros. We booked the Water Park and Lazy Day through the rep, the Water Park was 23 Euro but you can get a free bus and pay 17 Euro once there. We paid 40 Euros for the lazy day but you can pay at the boat for 20 Euro, it is a fabulous trip so was worth it.  The rooms are nice, we had a huge balcony over looking the Sea, Pool & Gardens, there is a tv though we did not use it, air con & mini bar, which is the priced the same as the bar so reasonable.  I am so depressed to be home, already looking to book next year which is something I don't usually do!

a great hotel with fantastic helpful staff. Irene on reception especially, nothing is too much trouble, and she can sort out any emergency. the lovely elena in the bar more than made our holiday with her laid back friendly manner. Outside the hotel, you took your life in your hands trying to cross the main road which was more like the M1. Two or three bars nearby or a mile hike to the town.20 minute queue for a taxi to get back.

We returned August last year for our third visit to this wonderful hotel to be welcomed back like old friends. I fell in love with this hotel, it' s staff and this beautiful island in 2001 and will continue to return until the time is such we move there to live.
The food is always wonderful (I always put on half on stone!) the maid service superb and the staff so wonderfully friendly - especially Irene on the reception (who I've promised to bring some decent conditioner over when we make it in 2006!)
The pool area is always exceptionally clean with a VERY good snack bar serving anything you could wish for.
If you are looking for a relaxing, friendly place then PLEASE look no further - as you'll find it all here.

Great hotel! Stayed in June 2003 and heading back this Saturday (4 June 2005). Lovely pool and rooms although a bit of a walk from the centre. Food was fine and perfect for a lazy holiday in the sun. Highly recommended!!
