Lido Waterpark
(Excursions on Kos)

This is definitely the best waterpark I have ever see and been to in my whole life. I would reccommend it to anyone. The slides are awesome as they have got one called Kamikaze which is nearly vertical, they have also got one called the Black Hole where you do not know where you are going while spinning around on a rubber ring but best of all they have a slide where you fall in to a big bowl and you fly round the edge and then you drop into the middle into a deep pool of water. Finally you have the Lazy River where you float around a pool on a rubber ring getting pushed by a current. They have plenty to amuse, very clean and enjoyable music pumping out of big speakers.

You can check the weather on this site or on the net but it will still be warm. The WaterPark is great the lockers are expensive but large they cost 5euro for the day but if you have valuables it can be useful at least once you get one you can keep it all day you get the key at reception. They have their own prices and children's prices so who ever you book with the price should be 17euros per adult some trips it's 19euros as they throw in the bus from your apartment/hotel for that. The children's rate is under11 so anychild over that it's adult price unfortunately but under 4 is free. You cannot take food in although no-one checks your bag!! They say no drink but we were in there in August so I took 2 large bottles of water and no-one batted an eyelid!!  As all theme park type places the charges for food and drink are more. We found the self-service restaurant very good however and the food was the same price as resorts, just the small drinks bars seemed a bit pricy. The attractions are good got good safety standards for a foreign country, you can go on loads of time and there are loads of sunbeds with brolly's the waves in the wave pool are huge be carefull!! You'll have a great day out loads of fun

This was a great day out.  It was very very clean with plenty of sunbeds too if you needed a rest.  Lockers are available to put your valuables in.  You aren't allowed to take food or drink in with you and so have to buy your food there.  The prices were about the same as outside but the service was pretty miserable.  My meal was brought out a good half hour before the rest of the families.  By the time theirs came I had finished.  The waitress was grumpy as were the assistants on the reception desk but that didn't spoil our day.  The Wave Pool had the BIGGEST waves ever.  The Lazy River ride was very relaxing.  Go in a rubber ring on your own or a twin with your mate.  The queues appear to be long but they don't take long to work your way through.

We had a great day at the waterpark too.  Loved the blackhole!  It was very quiet for a Sunday at the end of July!

The park owners have done a good job creating a tidy park with well maintained gardens (it even has a walk through animal centre!)

Warning: Keep your footwear on whilst walking round (we left ours at the bottom of each slide nr lifeguard points when on rides):
a] the ground gets really hot
b] there are a few red ants which bite if you step on them!

we did this excursion with theokrates travel in tigaki, was only 19 euros. Was a fab day i'm not as brave as some so didnt go on some of the slides but loved all the ones i did go on.  food was reasonable and not too expensive.  definately better than the old shapes water park.  would def go back there.

We spent an awesome day at the Lido Waterpark.  We booked it as an excursion through our rep (which is something I don't normally do).  Went out on a bar crawl the night before so it was the perfect hangover cure.  It's only been open for a couple of months so it is brand new for this season.  They don't have many slides but the ones they do have are good, maybe as it's new they may add new ones to it.  Had a really great kids section to it as well.  The only bad point about the park was that we had to wait over an hour for just ordering a pizza and a sandwich at the cafe opposite the kids pool! Apart from that it's a great day out and you hardly have to queue for any of the slides.

Vicky & Paul Cooling (July 19, 2006)

Brilliant - this was new this year, our friends hired a car and we spent the whole day there, (excersions to the waterparks are going to the old waterpark in Kos town), but we more or less had the whole place to ourselves, as it hasn't yet been advertised yet. There was no waiting so straight on the slides and food was great and cheap!!! everywhere was very clean.

Next year will probably be packed!!!

Well worth a visit, especially if your going to Kos this year!!!
