I've being back from kos 5 days now missing it so much. The Imperial hotel was brilliant such a friendly run business. It was always clean the pool prices was very cheap, and good quality food. We stayed bed and breakfast but found the breakfast not very good as it was continental, there was cheese and ham and bread rolls. So we ended up eating from the pool bar in a morning. The bar man Tony, Edmund and Mike where great missing them so much, thanks for the free shots Tony, might see you again next year.

The Imperial in Plasidi is a hotel in the Grecotel chain, the full name is Grecotel Kos Imperial (a 5 star hotel/lux hotel). I have stayed at Imperial in Amerikis and agree that this is a very nice hotel. I will stay there this summer/autumn too and do look forward to that.

Can you help?  -   Kerry Bater (June 13, 2005)

In response to your question, is it The Imperial in Amerikis Street or The Kos Imperial in Pslidi? If it is the one in Amerikis Street in Kos Town it is only a 8 to10 minute walk from the harbour and old Kos Town. It is a good hotel with excellant staff, and there are plenty of good restaurants and shops about, try The Caravan Restaurant opposite The Imperial.
If you want to see the location go to my web site which is:-  www.tonyainsworth.co.uk  and go to Kos and then Map and it is marked on there. There is also a page on useful information for that area. I do not know much about The other Imperial in Pslidi, but it is about 4 km from Kos Town. Drop me a line.  tonyainsworth@aol.com

Me and my fiance are going to the imperial hotel in July 05, can anyone tell me if it is near all the attractions in Kos town i.e is it far to walk? thanks

This was our first time in Greece. It was a last minute booking and we were a little apprehensive having never done this before. However, it turned out to be one of our best holidays. We met loads of lovely people and have made friends and have kept in touch, even Greek's. The resort was fabulous as was the beach, restaurants, cafes, bars. Food brilliant wherever we ate.

Imperial Hotel, what can I say, the staff were friendly, kind, condisderate and most obliging. The whole Hotel was kept very clean. Breakfast was good. The pool areas was cleaned everyday and they have a poolside snack bar which was good value.

We are going back again next year and meeting up with our friends.

I give this hotel 10 out of 10 most definately.

Imperial is a great hotel that i have visited numerous times.

Absolutely one of the best hotels in Kos!The owners, Nizza and Stamatiados, runs the hotel together with their newly wed daughter Irene and their sons Adonis and Mikalis. We,ve stayed at lot's of different hotels during the years, but this one we feel is of the best kind. The staff here is always friendly, the bartender Yorgos a bit crazy, like a bartender is supposed to be, the pool-attendant Edmond always has a smile ready.Good prices, very nice location, not to noisy and still very close to the center of the city! We will always choose Imperial when we go to Kos, they're simply the best!

THE IMPERIAL HOTEL - KOS TOWN.

This is an addition to my earlier comments.
I have now been told by THE IMPERIAL HOTEL that they will be featured in THOMAS COOK HOLIDAYS next year.

Tony A

The IMPERIAL HOTEL is situated on Amerikis Street.

The Hotel is situated on The Lambi side of town in Amerikis Street, about a 10 minute walk from the harbour and about 8 minutes from Kos Town beach. The Imperial is a very friendly hotel and it has a very nice pool area. The rooms are clean and all have refrigerators. The reception is a pleasant area to sit and read, and it also houses the breakfast area. The hotel is always spotless. It is a family run hotel, I can't remember the parents names but their daughter who has just got married, is called Irene. A good restaurant just accross the road is THE CARAVAN ( See my other reports ).
It used to be featured in the Thomson Holidays Brochure but as far as I know it is not featured in any of the British brochures now. The only way to book it is independantly. Their telephone number is:-

00 30 2242 023800 and theit email address is:- imperial@hol.gr

Enjoy yourselves in KOS TOWN, regards Tony Ainsworth.
