Karmelina Apartments

This place is just the ticket if you like being eaten alive by mosquitos, only having 1 set of clean towels in a whole week, living in filth as the apartments never got cleaned once.  Enjoy pure stench in every single room, filthy kettles, dirty cuttlery.  To top it off, the arrogant owner, Ismet, wanted to charge us for electricity for the fan out of spite as we purchased one rather than rent it at his rip off prices.  Oh, and make sure you take some toilet roll. Furthermore, an electric toothbrush was left in the room after vacating it and when I asked him to go back in the room to retrieve it he said it wasn't there.  So, anyone who is offered to hire an electric toothbrush it's mine!!  Mind you if you don't mind living in the above you probably don't clean your teeth anyway! Other than that though the place is OK

Now I was not expecting the Karmelina Apartments to be The Ritz but the alarm bells should have started to ring on this place when the only images available of it were all from the outside. The moment you enter its not hard to see why.....

What can be said!, the room myself and a couple of mates were put in was grotty,under maintained.The bath room included a broken window pane,a hole in the bathroom floor, swarms of mosquitoes,the wardrobe had two cockroaches living in it and also smelt of urine.The bedrooms were not cleaned and the linen only changed once,and had a pipe in the main room so as to when next door used the bathrooom you could hear everything goi9ng on,also sitiuated between two nightclubs,doesn't help as when its chucking out time the noise is unbearable and also doors being constantly being slammed in the complex didn't help also.Anyone who wants to stay here must be mad and I and my travel mates will certainly not be darkening the grotty doors of this place again!!!! 

We stayed there in July 2004 , there was 2 adults and 2 kids and as soon as we arrived there the kids wanted to go home they didn't like it at all. There is only hot water at tea time , we had 2 different kettles and both were disgusting . We had 2 different mosquito plugs but we still got bitten all over . Although it is in the middle of 2 nightclubs it wasn't noisy enough to disturb your sleep . There is no air conditioning and it is very very hot. It doesn't have a pool although there is the blue lagoon pool across the way where you pay 2 euro's per sun lounger per adult but you get a ticket to spend at the bar that sells drinks , ice-cream and food . Kids don't pay for sun loungers.

these apartments were really basic, but at the end of the day u aint there to sit around in the apartments, if u have any sense u will be on the beach by day and on the p**s by night!!!
ismet the little old guy that runs it is a top bloke.... if he likes u, me and my mate got on sound with him and we had no prolems at all but im sure some people would disagree!
its in a great location for the night clubs especially the gals when u come out and can hardly walk!
