Amazon - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Like some of the other comments say, if you dont take up the special deal with the drinks it's not worth going. We didn't take the deal and it didn't seem to go down well with the staff, after we ordered we seemed to get really poor service and the food wasnt particularly great.

Ariadne - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

My boy friend and I went to Kos at the end of June 04 and found that there was a toss up between three restaurants as to which was the best one. Ariadne always came out on top, never had any problems with the service or food and it was reasonably priced. Even though Ariadne's is always busy and they never have to tout custom they always give you the best service they can.

Camelot - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Steph D

Went to Camelot's three times (end of June 04) and the first two times were great, could not a fault a thing. The third time which happened to be our last meal in Kardamena and it took over quarter of an hour for someone to take our order and that was after we had to ask them. Then we noticed at least three separate groups had to move tables in the middle of their meal because they wanted to use their tables to make bigger ones for the larger groups which was not acceptable and put us on edge in case they asked us to move. We then received our main course which was just about warm. If you're feeling lucky go because it can be good but otherwise just give it a miss.

Dimitris - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

nice food in this restaurant but it was the same as Nemo's except the staff weren't as friendly.

Moonshine - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Steph D

The food was ok but nothing to write home about, staff were friendly enough, however Moonshine was the only restaurant we went to in Kardamena that gave us a free drink at the end of our meal.

Fat Olives - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Steph D

Nice enough restaurant, if you find you want to try a different restaurant for a change then go to this one, it's safe everything seemed to be good. They also give you free garlic bread or a glass of wine with your meal.

Scala Roof Top - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Steph D

Again, this is another safe bet, food is nice but a bit pricey compared to other restaurants but they also have a Thai menu for anyone that fancies a change.

Kris Mari Hotel - (Accommodation in Kardamena)

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel back in 2004 for 2 weeks and thought the hotel was good.  You can't expect too much with accomodation in the med but this is one of the best.  The air con is a bonus because usually you have to hire a fan.  I don't believe that the hotel would turn off the air con just to save money, it was on the whole time we stayed.  Breakfast is continental, which is great, you can't expect more anywhere in Greece unless you pay for a 5 star hotel.  Who gets up for breakfast anyway?!?  The hotel staff are really friendly too.  It was so good we're off again in June with some friends.

Kris Mari Hotel - (Accommodation in Kardamena)

Steph D

Just come back from my second stay in the Kris Mari and it was even better than the first time.  They have done up the hotel as they also own Cleopatra which is the hotel next door.  Apparently the regulars of the Kris Mari were shown the rooms at Cleopatra and they liked it so much the regulars started staying there.  So that's why the rooms were done up at the Kris Mari.  The rooms now have a fridge and there are new carpets and furnishings in each room.  It's better than anywhere else in Kos. Air con is fine it works off your key so when you're out of the room it's switches off but it's fine and gets the room cool quickly.

For those going, don't worry it's first class!

Aramis - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Steph D

Four us went out to Kos in June, we had been quite a few times before but never discovered Aramis.  Like some of the other comments say, the food is excellent the service is too.  When you've had enough of chips everywhere else you can go here and get a choice of potato.  The best thing on the menu for us was the Greek Meze starter to share, with olives, houmous, tztatziki, meatballs and salad.  Definitely a must.
