Kefalos - (Resorts on Kos)

Hi Susan,

Thank you for your help, it sounds lovely and we're really looking forward to our first visit to Kos. Just over two weeks to go now:-)

Kefalos - (Resorts on Kos)

Graham/Martin,

My husband and I sympathise with you both!!! We have a 13 year old 'kevin' and as you say it's so uncool to be seen with parents. We're at the Dionysia apartments from 18th. We'll look out for other bored teens when we get there, maybe we should put them all into some kind of 'teen creche':-)

Dionysia Studios - (Accommodation in Kefalos)

Toya R

Lovely apartments set back a little way from the main area. Very peaceful and great if you're an animal lover as there were chickens and a family of cats wandering around. Spacious rooms, there were three of us and we had plenty of room. Lots of changes of sheets and towels, family who own them very friendly. Definitely go back to them again.

Bravo Bar - (Bars in Kefalos)

Toya R

Great place, spent every lunchtime there and most evenings. Mark and Jane always helpful and approachable. Best bar in Kefalos!

Sydneys Bar - (Bars in Kefalos)

Absolute c**p!!!! Worst place in Kefalos, bar staff rude and prices expensive compared to other bars we visited!

Olympic Holidays - (Tour Operators on Kos)

Toya R

Excellent service as always. Transfer from airport to resort was by taxi as we were delayed and on the way back we were there in plenty of time and missed all the queues. Annalea was our rep and was very helpful, didn't need her for anythig which is good but she was always where she was supposed to be. Very knowlegable at the welcome meeting and not over pushy about trips.

Bubble Beach - (Beaches on Kos)

Toya R

Lovely beach with soft sand and very safe for swimming as you can walk out quite a way before it becomes too deep. The bubbles were fascinating, like your own private jacuzzi. The snack bar was reasonably cheap which was good as they had a captive market there. Two sunbed and an umbrella were 7 Euros but still good value if you're there for the day.

Kefalos - (Resorts on Kos)

Excellent resort and one which we would visit again. We were based at the harbour end of the resort, we take take a walk to the other end but preferred our end. People friendly and everything reasonably priced, beach there is a little bit stony but good and you could always take the speedboat over the Bubble/Paradise beach for the day. it cost 5 Euros for a day return picking you up at 10.30 and bringing you back at 17.30, well worth doing.

Cafe Bravo - (Bars in Kefalos)

Lovely friendly place, reasonably priced. Very good service from Mark and Jane. Spent most lunchtimes and evenings there. Special thanks to Mark for putting the Belgian GP on Sky for me!!

Aphrodite - (Restaurants in Kefalos)

Toya R

This was the best restaurant in Kefalos without a doubt, food fantastic and reasonably priced and the waiters always very friendly.

Marias - (Restaurants in Kefalos)

First time we went the food was lovely but have to admit the second time we went there it was awful and we never went back after that. The little extras were a nice touch free tea or coffee (ice cream for kids), water melon and a small shot of cherry brandy.

Sebastians - (Restaurants in Kefalos)

Toya R

Good food and very good service, visited it on a couple of occasions.

Stamatia - (Restaurants in Kefalos)

Only ate here once I had the carbonara which was far too sickly and I threw up later that night. My husband and son enjoyed their meal, think I was just unlucky.

Blue Horizon - (Restaurants in Kefalos)

Don't let the fact that it's never busy put you off. We went in when the place was empty and were a bit concerned. But we didn't need to be the food was lovely and the staff friendly.
