My family & I are staying in the Yannis Studio's in May 05. Couple of queries. Is it a right old trek to the beach/shops? Also is the pool we have use of (billy's) also a walk? Cheers.

10 out of 10.  We stayed in a family apartment.  It has 3 rooms, 1 double bedroom, main living quarters wwith twin beds, kitchenette & dining area, and bathroom.  Very, very clean.  Even I was willing to use the cutlery and towels provided, and i'm FUSSY!.  No pool, but you have use of any public pools in Kefalos.  The nearest to Yiannis is the Mayflower (Lovely with great bar area) and Billy's (Lovely, but has a bit of a hornet problem).  Location is about a 5 min walk from main centre of Kefalos.  All on one level so no nasty hills to clamber up.  Make sure you stop off at the Babis for your souveniors, the owners are lovely.  

I felt a little uncomfortable in this bar as it was the main hang out for the Locals, and although I'm sure it was not intentional, I felt like an intruder.

Lovely pool - great night out - good food.

Lovely beach - facilities miles away therefore no good for kids.

Brilliant.  Went 5-19 May 2005.  No rain whatsoever.  Highest tempeture was 27 degrees so manageable for families.

Boring.....boring......yawn.......boring.

Sea smells like poo. 1 overpriced fish restaurant. 1 childs play area.  Thats it.

Nice but you only need about 2 hrs tops to do the whole lot.  Therefore if you've walked up the hill expecting something great you'll feel cheated.  Get the bus or hire transport - then it's worth it.  Brilliant views though.

Wonderful.  Great shops.  Great bars for families and the single alike.  Quiet and peaceful.  Can't complain about anything.

Horrible.  Constantly being hasseled to go into restaurants/bars, something you don't get in quieter resorts. Way, way, way overpriced on everything - 4 euros for Mythos (2 euros in resorts).  Ridiculous.

Lovely food - great service but a little slow.  Worth the wait though.
