i stayed at the nefeli hotel in lambi which is part of kos town from the 8th to the 15th of july. i had a great room for single use, it had a double bed, tv and fridge which were included in the price. i rented the aircon as it was very hot and they charged 5 euros per night, and the safe cost me 16 euros to rent for one week.
all the staff were very friendly, there was nikki on reception who also spoke very good english, and nikos one of the owners and wilma the lady which ran the poolside bar was from holland and again was very helpful.
the hotel is a little way from the centre of kos town but it has a bus stop right outside the holel and the buses are every half hour. the hotel has a lovely swimming pool with plenty of sun beds and room to relax. the hotel gets clients from the uk, holland, norway, etc.
to conclude i would definitely recommend this hotel, as it is in a quite location, and has very good facilities with friendly, helpful staff, what more could one want?

click to enlargeMy husband Paul and I were first timers here from 19th to 26th October and we'll definitely return.  The hotel is located in a quiet location about 10 mins stroll from the village and a further 20 mins to Kos Town.We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, the breakfast was buffet style continental, as we don't usually have more than cereal at home this suited us just fine.  If you were feeling hungry you could order a cooked breakfast at a reasonable price.  Our room was clean and comfortable - slept really well every night - or maybe that was the ouzo! The swimming pool is lovely but was very cold, but given the time of the year you'd expect that. We usually go out and about for our meals, visiting a different restaurant each night but stayed here for our evening meal on 3 occasions as the food was delicious and very good value .  The hotel is family run and what a lovely family they are, welcoming, friendly and will do anything for you, Wilma who works behind the bar is great fun and does a brill Nefeli Special cocktail.  The other guests we met had all stayed at the Nefeli before and were lovely too - Sandra and Trevor - wishing you all the very best in your new life in Kos, please post a message when you can to let us know how you're getting on.  Elaine and Adrian - lovely to meet you both, hope you'll be there next time we come.  And last but by no means least Jean and Ian, you were lots of fun and great company - even for Saints supporters (where's the pies?)  If you're looking for a relaxing holiday with good company, the Nefeli is definitely for you.

We have just arrived back from 2 Weeks holiday at Nefeli. We have had a great time ,the staff are helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The pool is clean, the rooms are good ,we were transferred to a room with air conditioning ,which was excellent.

The area is quiet the sea is 150 metres away, Kos is only a 30 min walk ,what more could you want.A great place to stay with great people.

Anne Still (October 01, 2006)
We went on recommendation from our daughter Kerrie Still and enjoyed every minute.  The hotel was family run and made us feel like one of the family.  Nikos surprised me with a lovely birthday cake and a bottle of champagne a lovely thought, made my birthday extra special.   The room was kept very clean, the pool was lovely and the food we had at a couple of the BBQ's was excellent.  We thoroughtly recommend you go to Nefeli if you want a quiet clean and friendly hotel.  Tony and I are in our 50s and we hired a quad bike to get around KOS although if you are fit you can hire cyles as its fairly flat.   We look forward to coming back again, this time with our daughter and her husband who came to Nefili 3-years ago.

We have also just returned form staying at The Nefeli and were neighbours to Nicola and Neville.  Had terrific time and am currently suffering the post-holiday blues.  Nikos and family are great hosts and certainly know how to look after you.  Everyone got on well together - both the owners and all the guests.  We feel as if we have left extended family behind.  I certainly recommend anyone to go to Kos - good weather, wonderful food and very friendly people.  Plenty of tavernas and bars to visit (or stay at the hotel if you don't want to go far).  We hope to return sometime soon.

we have just come back from a 10 day holiday in kos & stayed at the nefeli studios & thought it was excellent, the atmosphere was very relaxed. nikos & co made us very welcome with their friendly
& helpfull manner.the rooms were cleaned daily by a very happy & smiley lady for which we were grateful for.neville & i both had a great time not only in the resort of lambi kos which you can get to easily by either walking down the pretty tree avenue or the very regular bus service or if your very brave by hiring a bike, but  by staying at the nefeli with its happy atmosphere. we had a couple of good nights at the bar with the other guests and the free sambuca shots plus more,so all in all it was a good time had by all and we both hope to return someday.
thanks for a great memorable holiday.

Charlie Evans (August 25, 2006)

Everything they say is true! We're just come back from two fabulous weeks at the Nefeli, and I would definitely recommend it. All the staff are fantastic - Katerina in the shop who tried very hard to get us to learn Greek, Wilma at the bar who has a brilliant sense of humour, Nikki who suggested wonderful meals to us every evening in the hotel resturuant, and Nikos who does a great bbq, and always on hand with the sambucca shots! There's a really relaxed atmosphere at the hotel - great pool that was never too busy, lovely beach just at the end of the road, and if you can tear yourself away, Kos Town is about a 20 monute walk away. We'd definitely go back. Thanks for a great holiday!

Mollie Smith (July 28, 2006)

We stayed at Nefeli in May 06 and it was excellent.  Rooms were very clean towels and sheets changed very regularly - the cleaner was lovely always a smile and a wave.  All the staff were great and although things were quiet at the start of the season food was always available and I must say was excellent.  Once they (the staff) found out that I am learning Greek went out of their way to help me practice!  Would we stay at Nefeli again?  You bet - hopefully next year.

Joan Doherty (June 12, 2006)

My boyfreind and I recently went on our first holiday together and we stayed in Nefeli. After a week there we really can't praise the place enough. Everyone is so warm and welcoming right from the moment you go in. The food and cocktails are fabulous, and don't even get me started on the free shots os Sambuccs Nikos keeps giving out!!! I'll always remember the friendly faces: Nikos, Dimitri, Nikki, Katerina, Maria and anyone else there whose name I've left out. I can't say enough nice things about Nefeli and we hope to be back some day.

Thanks for everything,
Lots of love,
Joan and Simon(Room 216, 30th May-6th June 2006)

Orla Daly (September 29, 2005)

myself and 4 of my friends (18-20) stayed here in august this year and it was definitely the best holiday ever. It was so relaxing during the day and the nightlife was great.

The family that run the apartments are lovely people and they really made our holiday. Nikos is lovely, always giving out free shots etc and he puts on a great greek night.
The food at the bar was lovely, especially the hawaiin Pizza... perfect cure for a hangover!!
The pool was really nice and there was no rush for beds like there usually is in apartments.
I'd definitely go  back, it was great, the people and the place were lovey. i'd recommend a visit to Tigaki beach, it's fab!
see you next year nikos!!

Joanne Topp (August 17, 2005)
My husdand (Jason) & I stayed here in July 2005 for our 2 week summer holiday and had a fantastic time.  We were made to feel really welcome form the minute we stepped off the coach to the time we got back on it to go home.   The hotel is clean and tidy and nothing is too much for you in terms of their hospitality.  This family run hotel is one of the best we have stayed in and when we come back to Kos again we shall book no where else other then here!  The family really are so friendly and Wilma is one in a million (Cheers for the scooter ride! Oh and to Dimitris also -a big thankyou!).
Book here you will not regret it.  We never wanted to leave!
Best of  luck to all the family - keep up the good work.
