| LAST STAYED HERE 2006 IT WAS OUR SECOND VISIT, WHAT A GREAT TIME WE HAD. THE STAFF WERE REALLY FRIENDLY AND IT WAS SPOTLESS. HAVE JUST LOOKED TO SEE IF YOU ARE STILL THERE AND GLAD TO SEE YOU ARE. HOPEFULLY WE WILL BE BACK SOON. |

With all the chaos regarding holidays and flights at the moment, we cannot recommend the Iris enough. So much, that we actually bought a house here.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay for the 2009 season, watch this space, because I will include how to book direct and achieve a stay at some of the nicest apartments in the suburbs of Kos.
Here you can expect a quiet complex, generous and immaculate studio apartments; wonderfully serviced and a pool and bar which is absolutely second to none. |

my wife and i have stayed at the iris for 2 weeks in may '06 and another 2 weeks in sepember'06. we also stayed here in june'05. the iris is very peaceful and quiet and is situated about a 25 minute walk from kos town,or you can catch the bus from the stop about 150 yards away , or a taxi is around 5/6 euros.
this aparthotel is run by the gamvrellis family - michalis and his wife irene look after the hotel side of things and their 3 sons,menas,savas and costas, tend to look after the apartments and pool side snack bar. everything is extremely clean and the 2 cleaners ,jenny and maria, have worked there for several years - they are also good for a laugh and some banter !!
the snack bar food is excellent and cheap - it is also a good place for a quiet daytime or evening drink.
there are some good restaurants within walking distance - neo syntrivani,blue ocean, akogialli,etc.
moto david works from an area at the front of the hotel and you can hire bicycles,mopeds,quads from him.
we find this place so peaceful and relaxing and are already booked for may'07.
please note there is no karaoke,quiz nights,greek nights,etc here - the emphasis is on relaxing !!
no stress here - brilliant.

 We loved it and hated leaving! Rooms clean and well maintained. Family who run the place are very friendly and genuinely care about your holiday being enjoyable.
Lots of places to eat. If you stay at the pool bar the beer is so so cold! Lovely! And Manios the bar man is the best.
I would highly recommend. |

| MY GOOD LADY AND I STAYED AT THE IRIS BETWEEN THE 8TH AND 22ND OF JULY,THE APARTMENTS WERE VERY SPACIOUS,WE WERE IN A ROOM FOR 3,THE ROOMS WERE VERY MODERN,THE APARTMENTS ARE ONLY 4 YEARS OLD.THE ROOMS WERE CLEANED EVERY DAY APART FROM A SUNDAY AND THE CLEANERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY.
COSTA'S AT THE POOL BAR MAKES A MEAN TUNA SALAD!
I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE APARTMENTS HIGHLY,ITS ROUGHLY A 30 MINUTE WALK TO KOS TOWN BUT ITS A LOVELY WALK ALONG THE SEAFRONT,JUST WATCH OUT FOR THE GUY TRYING TO GET YOU INTO THE FOUR ROSES DANCING BAR! |

We will be staying at the Iris for the 3rd time in June, we absolutely love it there. Mikalis,Irini, Yiannis,Minas & Costas are really great and always help with places to go and coaching my faltering greek! Studios are spacious, clean and Minas says that you can flush here, though we are in the habit of using the bin. Small tip we use nappy sacks to make things a little more pleasant! So here we are now wishing our lives away to be back at our second home. |

| Studio apts very spacious,clean and great location.Towels changed daily,sheets mid week..Run by really nice and helpful family..best and cleanest apts we,ve had in Greece..Cycles for hire 3 euros per day and great way to get around as area very flat and cycle path all way along sea front.Many tavernas within easy walking distance,on sea front. Great location to watch ferries etc passing at night..very romantic setting.. |

We have just returned from our holiday. Had an amazing time in the Iris Apartments. We think the cleanliness of the apartments (cleaners came every day with fresh towels) and the calmness of the complex is what made it really good. Nice pool. Limited kitchen facilities but we never felt like we needed anything more. 30 minute or more walk into kos town, however very pleasant around the marina and castle, and apartments were quiet as not surrounded by bars and busy roads. Only 5 minutes walk to blue flag beach, 4 euros for sunbeds, umbrella and water, however beware of the over-enthusiastic fruit man on the way! |

We stayed in the Iris from the 4th - 11th September 2004 with Pie-Man (Matthew Read) and gang. Pie-Man - you went with 8 mates not 9!! You were very annoying to stay with, being unable to control your bodily functions in your sleep but also very funny. Pie-Man, you sucked at Lilo-Wars, Gary and Dave are still the champs!!
Hotel was good. Had a great time. |

I went to this hotel on 4th sept for a week, had a great laugh with nine of my mates, pool was good and we started a great game that everyone should contiunbe had half the hotel playing. Its Called LILO WARS. You grab one of the free lilos provided and you have to tip everyone else off their lilo whilst staying on your own.
Hotel was a bit of a walk into to town but the seventy cents to get the bus was nothing, Barstaff were friendly and helpful, downside grumpy guy on reception although i think we annoyed him by puking down his stiarwell.

| Just got back from the iris hotelapartments , was there for two weeks had a great time there.The apartments were cleaned everyday except the middle Sunday of our holiday.Minas and Costa make you welcome at the pool side bar and are very freindly and helpful.The only downside to the complex is the swimming pool depth(very Deep)even the shallow end is deep but, is on the egender to be changed this winter by the family. |

| we went to kos on 15.5.04 for one week and had a great time,the iris aparthotel was very clean and quiet and a nice walk into town we also found the restaurants on the way to kos town tended to be cheaper but the food was better quality and nice settings along the coast.hired a moped and went up to the village of zia (lovely).Loads of roman sites to see around kos and the ascpillion in the mountains is breath taking,also squeezed in a trip over to turkey which took 30 mins,went to thermes which was lovely and hot.Also recommend a day out on EVA a greek boat,great day,food and wine.kos is windy but hot. |
