I stayed here with my mate in August 2006, it was our first holiday away. The Accommodation was ok although we had the short straw of staying in Lydia 2 which doesnt have air con and believe me you need it! We only had a kettle and a mircowave but it didnt really bother us as we only drank alcohol. The location is excellent its near the main nightlife, beach and the designer shops! what more can a girl ask for. The staff at Lydia are really friendly but i think they was annoyed with us on the last day for jumping in the pool the night before and being really loud. The pool area is also basic but its all you need really and if you dont like it you can just go to another pool near by. Our cleaner was really nice but the lads next door said she was pulling her face because of the state of our room, i mean come on we are girls on holiday and its her job at the end of the day. If anyone is going to Kardamena i do think you should try out Status i really enjoyed myself here we had a right laugh dancing to funky house and RnB. My advice to you is to keep away from the PRs on bar street all they did all holiday was pick me up and throw me into the pubs!!!! Me and my mate are hoping to work out here next year! so see you all soon!!!! You will have a good time here if you are going with friends or just family theres plenty to do.

Staying at Lydia II was bloody funny, perfect choice for a lads holiday. Our apartments were a tad basic yet had decent balconies, but we didn't go to Kardamena for the apartment. The important thing was having somewhere to sleep at night and being near to the important places, ie, bar street, the beach, the main nightclubs and the supermarket. So Lydia II was basically the best we could have hoped for. The pool area was immense and everyone loves a bit of Annie Lennox full volume at 5.30 in the morning.

| We stayed in these appartments in July 04. There were in perfect location, 2 mins walk to beach and the all the bars. The cleaner came everyday, made the beds and tidyed up a bit. Bathroom was basic but clean. Always had hot water.Pool area was nice, freezin cold pool, there is a jacuzzi. Food was nice and teh drinks were cheap. We are defo comin back to stay here. It is basic, but its all you need as you only really sleep there. There is a place down the street were you can lock up all your valuables called LUkas car rental. | ||||||||||

| Myself and my friend Kerry have just returned from staying at Lydia II. We were in room 301 which is the room on the roof!! You have the whole roof terrace to yourself. We read the reviews before going to Kardamena, and were a bit worried about the security aspect, but common sense tells you to lock up, not necessarily leave your money / passport etc lying around. Everything was fine. The room is basic, but it's enough for self catering requirements. The pool area is good, and the owners are very nice and friendly. The location is excellent for the beach / getting to the supermarket / shops. The bakery and fruit supermarket were just down the road. The cleaner came at least twice during the week, and the linen and towels were changed once during the week. Would be happy to stay at these apartments again if we were to return to Kardamena. | ||||||||||

| We have been here 4 times and have always been highly delighted with these apartments. They are advertised as Greek Simple Style, this is what they are. Nikos, Kateria and Lydia always make you welcome, we took the Grandaughter this year she can't wait to go back. The pool and bar area are really great since Nikos extended it. We have never had a problem with security and you can get free security boxes at Lukas which is 50 yds away. The bakery for your hot morning crossants and the local supermarket which is as cheap as the large one is 20 yds away. We shall be back next year! | ||||||||||

| Having read some of the reports on here I was concerned about what we were going to at Lydia II. Here are my findings. Our Room - We arrived in the middle of the night and although we had booked Lydia II, found that we had been given an apartment in the Lydia 1 block. First impressions were that the aparment was large, clean & tidy and better than I expected. 2 single beds, breakfast bar, microwave, fridge, 2 ring cooker, air-con & tv. Shower was excellent every night, plenty hot water even around 7/8 at night. Room had air conditioning but had to pay a 10Euro deposit for controller and then 40Cents per hour. Didn't even use up 10 Euros worth over a fortnight. Cleanliness - The maid we had was always very pleasant although she didn't speak english she always said hello and had a smile for us. Although rooms are not cleaned and towels changed every day we found it to be adequate. It doesn't take much to keep your room tidy anyway. Security - I'd read reports of break ins and problems with security. There are no safety deposits boxes in the apartments, however 50 yards away you can get free deposit boxes at Lukas car hire if you are a Lydia resident. It's common sense to make use of these and at night ensure your doors are locked. No problem. I did not find security an issue, although on our last day I thought someone tried our door in the morning. But our door was locked anyway. You wouldn't leave your door unlocked at home. So why do it on holiday. Pool & bar area - The pool was a nice size, plenty of free sunbeds and the bar staff (Hi Katerina) were all very pleasant and helpful. Bar snacks were very good value and ideal for a light bite. 1.50E for a bottle of zorbas (nice), 60Cents for water, 2.50E for a toastie to give a few of examples of prices. Location - Lydia is about 4 streets back from the waterfront and almost central. Kardamena is a small resort and we regularly walked from one end to other. supermarket situated next door and a bakery 30 yards away. 2 mins walk and you are into all the bars and restaurants you could want. I would have no problem going back to Lydia in the future. So have a good holiday if you are going there. | ||||||||||

| Oh my GOD! This was the worst place I've ever stayed! There was ants everywhere, a cockroach in our bathroom at 3am that ran under the fridge, the maid never cleaned the room or changed the towels, the toilet seat was coming off and the shower was completly PANTS!! Don't book to stay at this hotel cuz it's awful. Makes Faulty Towers look like a palace. The bar staff are friendly tho, and the bar is very cheap. Bit noisy with all the Mopeds racing around but in a good position for Status and the main Bar Street. Me and Flic had a really good view of some trees from our balcony unlike our friends who were overlooking the pool. Also really annoying with all the kids throwing balls around in the pool, makes it difficult to get in there, better off going to the beach. | ||||||||||

| Kos rocks, I met some great people who made me feel at home and took me under their wing. The locals are all very polite and helpful, mainly cos they want your money! the appartments well good, I recommend Lydia 2 room 201 which has 2 rooms and a tv with some classic greek comedy shows on. If u want a good night hit the bars, have a fish bowl, Bernies bar rocks, the clubs are good for after and rising at 12 means you get the best of the sun. great time, great holiday give it 10/10! love John Volley | ||||||||||
