| September 2004 - The Hotel was brilliant as it was literally 5 steps to the beach, what more could you wish for! George was friendly except if you woke him up coming in late! On a very busy street where all the noisy bars were, even tho the music went off at 12, the noise continued, so a waste of time going to bed early even ya an oldie like me!! dint get to sleep til around 3.30 every morning, but just slept on the beach the next day so not too bad. Loved Kardamena, was a lovely friendly place and would definitely consider going again. Went as Bed and Breakfast but breakfast was a bit of a jok as you got 3 small biscuits and bred and jam, no varieties of jam either, the same all week. We did get cake some mornings which his wife had made and it was lovely, cept you dont really want cake for breakfast. But wasnt a problem as we got a cheap brekkie at a bar on the front and got a sunbed thrown in with it! bargain! Beach nice and clean, water a little cold but very clean. Only down side was every time I went in the sea I got bitten by the small fish who swim close to the shore! ouch! The restaurants were in abundance, too much choice, didnt have one bad meal there, all lovely, only one we didnt like was Camelot, the waiters were very ignorant and quite rude, we didnt go back there. But can recommend Papagala, friend waiters and great service, food excellent, we ate there most nights as we stayed opposite, so was easy! Any questions just ask Hercules, Ilias or Yannis, very nice lads!! Overall, bril holiday! and what was even better was the airport was only 10 mins away! fantastic, so even on a night flight like we had, it wasnt that bad. |
