Day trip to Turkey - (Kos Excursions)

Donna H

The day trip to turkey is worth every penny, Although don't go with the travel reps, go to the main harbour and book their as it is much cheaper. Turkey has got a little bit more expensive since the Euro was introduced. Bodrum deals in Turkish lira, Euro and the pound. I have to say that when we went in May 2003 the pound was the strongest so we found that paying in sterliing was the cheapest. Don't feel daft by haggling as it is expected. Have been to Bodrum numerous times both as a holiday and visiting, will definitely go this year as we are going to Kos in May. Ps if you want to buy jewellery go to the back street jewelers as they are cheaper than the main steet. HAPPY SHOPPING.

Boomerang Restaurant - (Restaurants in Kos Town)

Donna H

A group of us went to Kos last May and found that the best restaurant by far was the boomerang. The food was the best ive tasted, and that includes all the restaurants ive ever been to, "not just in Kos but all over" the only gripe i have is that the kids menu could have had a bit more choice. The first place i will be heading when i get to Kos in May will be for a steak diane at the boomerang.

Shooters - (Bars in Kos Town)

D H

Shooters is situated further down from shenanigans, it shows all the football matches "or whatever takes your fancy" via two really big screens, hence the name Shooters. Shooters serves up excellent cocktails and the best "by far" breakfast in Kos for that morning after feeling. Also if your into motorbikes, Jimmy "the owner" and friends have a selection of bikes out front for that all important view. Ha Ha

Kosmar - (Tour Operators on Kos)

D H

I have been on holiday with Kosmar a couple of times. the value for money is excellent with the conparison to other companys. However the overall service is for want of a better word s**t. We went on holiday in May, 9 days before we went they changed the flights so that we only had 13 nights acc, and were left stranded for 18.5 hours before flying home, "YES YOU DID READ THAT RIGHT, 18.5 HOURS BEFORE FLYING HOME" i did have words with them about this and was told that we could keep the room on for an extra 5 hours at no extra charge, we were told that it was all arranged with the hotel, suprise suprise when we got their no one knew what we were talking about. I wrote a letter of complaint when we got home about this so called arrangement to be told. TOUGH
