Blues Brothers - (Bars in Kos Town)

Claire R

we were in this bar when greece won the final of euro 2004. the atmosphere was mental. the cocktails were really nice. my fave was the pine colada

Fashion Bar - (Bars in Kos Town)

Claire R

this wasnt really much of a club. i live in a small town in wales and the club was smaller than the one we have a home. it cost 10euros to get in one night but another night it was 12. that does include a drink though. the most scary thing was watchin some greek blokes try and spike our drinks wiv somethin. the greek me are a bit p**vy and think english girls are "up for it". i wasnt keen on the place. drinks were expensive as well

3 Island Cruise - (Kos Excursions)

Claire R

i went on the 3 island cruise with the boat "odyssey". the driver of the boat tried to be funny to begin and kept makin the boat splash sea water at us but he stopped when he realised noone found it funny. it was 30euros includin lunch which was a kebab and salad. i wasnt to keen on kalymnos or plati but the beach at pserimos was really nice compared to the ones at kos. i'd have prefered less time on the boat and more on the beach

Day trip to Turkey - (Kos Excursions)

Claire R

this trip might be good for lads but for a group of four 18 year old girls it was awful. the blokes on the stalls were really persistent. one turkish bloke nicked all our hats and went into his stall with them. when we went to get them he started gropin us which was disgusting. he eventually gave us our hats back. my friend was ripped off in macdonalds, she wasnt sure of the money and instead of the bloke askin for 2000lire he sais it was 20000. some of the fakes had visible holes in them and the stitchin was crap. one thing to say though if you do want to go is to book on the harbour it cost us 15euros compared to 50 throuh the rep

Trip to Shape Waterpark - (Kos Excursions)

Claire R  (12 July 2004)

this place was awful. there were two slides to go down with rings and about 6 that u just slide down. the steps up to the rides seemed really rickety. the food was really expensive. there was a sign outside sayin u couldnt bring food in but they dont say anythin if u do. the lockers stank and i had to wash all my stuff after i took it out. the pool was ok though i suppose

Ramari Beach Hotel - (Accommodation in Psalidi)

Claire R

the food was great here but we were with a mate who is a dead fussy eater and we had to take her out to macdonalds a few times. the alcoholic cocktails they served were disgustin but the kids ones were nice. we had two rooms and we had ants in both at one point. our air conditionin broke and it took a day for them to sort it out then it broke again. there werent many english people mostly germans. the pool was clean but it was 2m deep so not really suitable for non swimmers

The Asclepeion - (Places to Visit on Kos)

Claire R

i walked up to here from kos town not realising it was 4km away, there wasnt much to see or much information but i prob would have enjoyed it more if i hadnt had to walk so far, it was 4euros to get in which was ok i suppose. there was a stall inside sellin orange juice, it was 2.50euros and a bit warm. good for takin photos with your mates

Psalidi Beach - (Beaches on Kos)

Claire R

the beach was pebble and its not suitable for kids as the water is really harsh. i didnt go in the water but i was stayin at the ramira beach hotel and they provided sunbeds so i just lay there and got a tan. the beach would be good if your into watersports i suppose as there are banana boats and jetskis and stuff. its just not very relaxing
