Blue Lagoon Pool Bar - (Bars in Kardamena)

Lisa W

The pool was really nice and a good size. Good number of sun beds, showers, changing rooms and toilets. Great location as our apartments (Kaloxenia) were literally opposite and about 5 mins if that into town! The charge has now gone up to 6 Euros a day. Make sure u use the credit up each day tho as u can't carry it over! Snacks good but mainly consist of burgers and toasties. Not allowed to bring in own food or drinks and water there is a bit of a rip! Agree that is over-run with northerners but not a prob, we're all there for a laugh after all!

Paradise Beach - (Beaches on Kos)

Lisa W

you can get really cheap deals for the various independent excursion operators in Kardamena. Rep prices r a rip off!! I paid 4 Euros to be taken to Paradise beach on a really lovely old boat. Took about an hour and 20 mins but get to see all along the coast. Shop around for deals coz one place offered a free paradise beach trip if you went on another of their day cruises. The beach is beautiful with clear waters and great bubbles. Lots of watersports, fairly priced! Go on the flying fish! You take off!!!

Kaloxenia - (Accommodation in Kardamena)

Lisa W

The Kaloxenia is a small block of apartments right opposite the Blue Lagoon Pool which was great. However, there was no air conditioning which, trust me, is an absolute must!!!! Also, the two most popular clubs in Kardamena (Status and Starlight) are right around the corner so ALL night it is sooooooo noisy!! You don't realise how much noise you can make when ur pissed!! So we had sleepless nights!! Kitchenette VERY basic and no reception so we had no where to put suitcases when we checked out! Apart from this, the apartments r about 5 mins from all the action!

Koyros - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Lisa W

Food was yummy!!! My boyfrined had a seafood mixed grill for 16 Euros which consisted of swordfish, calamari, massive prawns, mussels, perch, cod and salmon! Bargain and tasted beautiful!! Robert was very nice and friendly! Definitely the place to go for a meal, is on the beach so view is amazing! Take one of their cards as u get free wine!! Service was great, much much better than England as they want to to come back, which we did!!

Wok House - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Tasty food, great service, amazing chow mein! Go there!

Camelot - (Restaurants in Kardamena)

Lisa W

They do like to harass you when you walk past which is a bit of a pain but then so do all the of the restaurants and bars! You can't get away from it!! Waiters like to try to use phrases such as "Luvvly Jubbly" which is a bit scary but none the less entertaining. Service very good and free wine. Food tasty but not the biggest portions. Worth a visit.

Trip to Kos Town - (Kos Excursions)

Lisa W

Went to Kos town on the local bus which cost 2 Euros each one way. Took about 40 mins. Bus dumped you at bus stop in the middle of no where. Wandered around for ages trying to find everything but what we did find wasn't that great. Crappy tourist shops, boring historical sites and not much of a beach. Too spread out, Kardamena is compact, with everything you need at your fingertips!
