Myros Hotel - (Accommodation in Tingaki)

Donna H

Just back from the Miros - had a lovely relaxing time.   Teresa on the pool bar was fantastic along with Silke on the reception - whatever they get paid - it is not enough for the amount of work these two ladies do.  Nothing is too much for them to ensure you enjoy your holiday.    Rooms cleaned every day.  Best pillows on a bed we have every had on holiday - there wasn't a lump or bump in them.   Pool area very clean and safe for children.  Play area kept clean and tidy - just watch out on an evening as the gardener uses the sprinklers so this can then make the area very wet.  Olympic rep Kerry was brilliant all the time we were there and saw her most days or evenings.

The only down side was that for a week of our holiday we were the only family with children - which can be a little boring for the children - however this could not be helped and in no way reflects on the hotel or the tour operator.

Tingaki Resort - (Resorts on Kos)

Donna H

The resort of Tingaki was just one main road - loads of restaurants to try.   Not enough shops and sometimes 5 to 10 minutes walk before you come to a supermarket.   Found that the only place to buy a paper was at the exchange bureau at the roundabout.   Beach was lovely but could have done with the dead seaweed being cleaned on a morning (will never get a blue flag without this). People very friendly and good to children.   Did not get any pressure to try any of the restaurants when walking passed as in some resorts.

Ikarus - (Restaurants in Tingaki)

Fantastic place - in fact the best we had the whole of the holiday - excellent facilities for both couples (if you want romance) and families (play area to entertain kids while waiting for meal).   Food was the best we had Steak with Curry Sauce, Soulvakie Mix, Cheese and Ham Crepe and Homemade Shepherds Pie - Fresh Hot Bread was given before the meals came - meals are worth waiting that little bit extra for - large potions and top quality food.   This along with 2 Mythos and 2 Lemon Juices came to roughly 28 to 30 euros (you would pay a lot more back in England for this).    Service and staff are friendly and happy to help with anything. - you can see in the kitchen which is always kept clean and tidy.

Mediterranee - (Restaurants in Tingaki)

Lovely meal and top service - it was expensive - but then believe you get what you pay for - the food was well presented along with the service and staff.    Very child friendly - children got given fruit cocktails while we ordered and colouring pages to do while waiting for meal.    At the end of the meal the children were given free ice cream by the manager.    Would definitely recommend but would advise to take a little bit more money for the bill than in some other restaurants.

Meni Restaurant - (Restaurants in Tingaki)

After reading the emails below - we tried the Meni and can say that we were not disappointed.   Meals lovely at good prices - staff friendly and always seem to remember a face - even stopped to speak to us when they weren't at work.    Very child friendly and will try to help anyway they can.   Cia always happy to help the most and loves the children.

Olympic Holidays - (Tour Operators on Kos)

Fantastic time at the Miros - and our Rep Kerry was the best - she was there most days and always on hand to help with any problems or just for a chat - nothing seemed to much.   Kerry was great with my two children - even gave them printouts to colour one day as they were getting bored.   Kerry not ignored you and she also helped out at the pool bar sometimes but would stop if you needed her for anything.  Kerry always had a smile on her face and seemed to get on with everyone - holiday makers as well as the staff at the Miros.    Would definitely like to have Kerry as our rep again - wish they could all be like her!!!!
