This is a message for Jo Keen and Clinton Taylor.

I am also travelling to Tigaki from London Gatwick on the 9th July. I have been to Tigaki when I was 13 but now 6 years on I am going back with my boyfriend. It was very quiet when i went but a friend went there last year and said it had livened up a lot - so fingers crossed it should be ok.

Haven't found anthing myself on the Oasis studios. But at least we will be in for a surprise.

Oasis apartments are excellent, the staff are friendly, the place is situated near the beach and the main street and there is a beautiful salt lake at the back. The pool is also excellent and the whole place looks a bit like tracy island off the thunderbirds!!

We went to Oasis apartments in Tingaki, it was an absolute supberb holiday. The apartments like all Greek apartments were very basic but very clean, the pool was spotless an ideal holiday for families with the night life of Tingaki being only minutes away with something for everyone, but quiet enough to sleep at night. The locals were very friendly, excellent restraunts, beautiful scenery around the apartments, planning to return. Apartments were cleaned every day. See you all soon Dawn & Steve Barnsley!

we stayed at the oasis apartments in july last year. We found them to be very clean as they were cleaned everyday with clean towels and bed linen. It was only a 5 minute walk to the beach and the wee town of tingaki had plenty to offer. With it being an allocated hotel on our arrival we were pleasantly surprised, however our guess is that we were staying in the cheaper rooms at the front of the hotel and not the ones round the pool. We didnt however spend too much time at the hotel and merely just used it to sleep in and get changed. We enjoyed ourselves so much last year that we are going back in 2 weeks time but to another hotel.

I would like to know which tour operator now uses the Oasis Apartments. I stayed there in 1997 and I think it was Sunset holidays then. Can anyone help?

We got back from our holiday last week (17 October 2002). We got a last minute booking to Tingaki for 2 weeks. It was my first time abroad and I loved every minute of it. The Oasis apartments are really clean, they host a lovely pool, bar/restuarant and reception area. The apartments neighbour a salt lake and is in walking distance to Marmari Go Karts and Riding School. The beach at Tingaki is lovely with Sun Loungers available to rent for 3 euros. The best bar is the Mascot bar which is also the best bar on the Island. We went to Kardamena and Kos Town and it wasn't at patch on Tingaki. The place is great for couples and families as the bars allow childeren. The cooking facilities consist of a portable cooker with two rings most of our money went on eating out. We did find it expensive. In the bars a cocktail and a beer would cost 7 euros which is about £5 so you may want to take your visa as boat trips to Turkey, Nissoros, etc are also expensive. The local bus service is quite poor and you have to travel to Kos Town to get to anywhere else on the island. The first bus is at 9:20 am and runs every hour. There is a host of scooter shops so you may want to take your driving license. We met a couple who travelled the island in one day by Car.
