Restaurants in Mastihari

we first visited mastihari in 1999 with our 2 children, spent lots of time at el greco then, we often return inbetween going to rhodes and crete, neither of which measure up to mastihari and el greco, the staff are lovely,& work extremely hard to make the evening right for you, the vegetarian food is lovely, tzatziki on potato skins& potato wedges with garlic dip are our favourite starters, the litres of wine go down very well too ! in fact we havent  any negative comments on anything we have tried there, we are returning in october for a week so see you then all at el greco. x

we went here about 4 times during our holiday. I had steak on 3 of those occasions, and have to got to say that the steak I had the first time I went was as good a steak as I have every had, it was fantastic. My wife likes swordfish and said it was beautifull on the 2 occasions she had it. We had pizza once and that was very nice as well. My wife and son had giovetsi one night and having tasted it can highly recommend it (loads of lamb and beautiful pasta). Would definitely recommend this restaurant for the food and the service was good as well.

this really is the place to eat!!! we ate most of our meals here during our two week stay......breakfasts (full english) lunch and dinner. the owners are so friendly, always made to feel welcome, and the staff are lovely too. we are going back this year, so i know we will be well looked after......i would recommend this restaurant to anyone going to mastahari, its right on the beach, you can't miss it.......

El greco is the most fantastic restrant in mastichari, it makes your holiday the best holiday ever. The food is top quality and all the waiters and waitresses are so kind and polite. The service is brilliant, the restrant is brilliant and just everything is lovely. The restrant is very greek and there is plenty to choose of on the menu.

We didn't have a bad experience in Mastahari as far as food was concerned, in either quality or price.  I can't recall what we had at El Greco but would be able to if it was bad.

The one thing we do recall, which is why we didn't return, was the attitude of the lady who served us.  She was distainful and appeared to be bored.

There were plenty of other restaurants with really friendly waiters and El Greco didn't have anything which would make us want to go back.

My sister was married at El Greco last year.  Kathryn organised everything and there was sooo much food!  Even my fussy boyfriend loved it! The whole family had a great time and it was all thanks to the fantastic staff at El Greco!

I've recently found their website http://www.elgrecomastihari.co.uk if anyone is interested...

They do accomodation too!

I stayed in room number 1 at El Greco which has fantastic veiws of the beach!  Really clean and fresh towels every day... the chefs said hello every morning!

El Greco is a really good all round restaurant catering towards tourists, and are particularly child friendly. Along with Mavros, it's in a great location. I would recommend the Daily Specials Board.

El Greco is the best! Nothing is too much touble and Katherine & Nikhitas treat you like family. Sousoukakia (meat balls in Red Wine & Garlic is to die for. On Sunday Katherine does a roast dinner, Roast Beef, Yorkshire Puds the lot. Mmmmm! Have tried most of menu and not had anything I did not like. Highly Recommended.

This is a very popular taverna on the beach. We ate there both at lunch time and in the evening and never had a bad meal. It is run by a Greek man and his English wife. The menu is very comprehensive, if just slightly geared towards tourists. Try the 'Loukaniko El Greco' (village sausage) and the gyros - mouthwatering! Staff friendly.
