im the eldest daughter my dad refers to in the previous comment!! yes nick was a bit of a dish but he knwe it too. ha. does anybody know if laikon is still there, the did the best pizzas ever & were a lovley family
Like most of the other comments the food is extremely good, friendly service, we've been going to laikon since we first went to Kardamena in 1995, Nick is a great guy once asked our eldest daughter for a date but she very politely declined his offer, he then asked our younger daughter and she told him he was to old, he took it all in good faith, Getting back to the food the menu is small but all the food is very good and yes those pizzas are wonderful ,
Me and my husband have been visiting Kos for 18 years and we always eat at the Laikon. I agree with all the comments below - fantastic food, reasonably priced (make that cheap!) and lovely family who run it. Dunno about the "handsome" waiter though, surely you don't mean crazy Nick?! (I'll tell him I said that when I'm back there in September.) All the food is freshly made and Zac, the father of the family who is also the chef, grows a lot of it on the family's small holding just outside the village (off the road leading up to the Rahi studios). The roast lamb is to die for. If Katerina has made rice pudding with their goats' milk (served cold sprinkled with cinnamon) it is a must.
A great place to enjoy time and time again!!!!!! Traditional Greek restaurant run by a fantastic family who make you feel more than welcome.
This is a must if you like traditional Greek food, it was a FANTASTIC meal, good service. Try and you will enjoy PS i hear the Pizza is good to.
