Restaurants in Kefalos

just returned from kefalos [ june 14 ] after a 2 week holiday and had a gteat time. never had a bad meal anywhere, it was only our 2nd night when we found antonios and after our 1st meal there  we chose to dine here 7 out of our 14 nights, the staff [ like most places to be fair ] were so pleasant and cheerful, but the food just won us over, true its not the cheapest place in kefalos but far from what you would call expensive, they have a asian menu too and to my surprise an indian section, now been a curry lover i had the beef madras, not expecting it to taste much like a curry from your local restaurant back home it was honestly the best i've ever had. you really can't go wrong with this place, just don't leave it untill the end of your holiday to visit there

The starters were as good as five years ago And so was the mains Was a real shame Antonio & Karlos were not there and won't be until 2014 however his family still run to his high standards of excellence and if you want to catch Antonio the man he still runs his bars night clubs and consultancy services through out europe and is normally based at gio feratsi in roma Well worth the visit and food is still as good as if the guys are there cooking it for you now

The reviews on here are pretty old, so just to update you. Antonios Restaurant (Taverna)  is located on the beach just behind the Sacallis-Inn Beach Hotel.  This is a family run restaurant and not only provides the warmest Greek welcome you could expect, but the food is excellent.

We ate in a couple of other restaurants before we found Antonios, but once we found it we ate here every night.  The Sacallis family provide a great atmosphere and can't do enough to ensure that you are completely satisfied when you leave.

Great location with views of the harbour and Kastri Island.  You won't be disappointed.

enjoyed lunch here on our first day. Didn't go back at night - the guy whistling to passers-by to "encourage" them in was offputting. Good food but not much atmosphere.

I have dined at many places on the island over the past 10 years but found that Antonio's Taverna the best place - situated on the beach behind Sacallis Inn Hotel  Good selection of both English and Greek food, cooked by the owner and his wife. The food is always fresh and good value for money with only quality ingredients are used. The restaurant is clean and has friendly staff to attend to your every need. Fantastic deals are on every night including BBQ night with free wine, 2 for 1 on cocktails and a Specials board with food not in the main menu.

I have a feeling that the lady who found a cockroach may have been talking about another Antonios, because It was not the same place I have been eating.

I have eaten there every night of my holidays for the last 8 years and have NEVER EVER found the food to be anything but mouthwatering nor have I EVER suffered from the dreaded "Holiday Tummy" after eating here unlike some places  I could mention in Kefalos

The hotel and restaurant has been newly refurbished 06/07 and other work is to be done during the winter months so as not to disrupt holiday makers on their holidays. This place is A must for anyone visiting Kefalos.

We  would rather eat from a dustbin The food was terrible our daughter ordered pizza [ nearly 7] i went for eggplant, my husband went for the mix grill   THE PIZZA WAS COLD, THE MIX GRILL WAS STILL MOOING, AND BAAAAAING, MINE WAS EGGPLANT. As we decided to leave another poor victim called a girl over AND TO LET US ALL KNOW. YES HE HAD A COCKROACH COOKED FREE FOR HIM IN HIS MOUSAKA

Antonios is the best restaurant in Kefalos. Tucked away below Sacallis Inn Hotel right on the beach. Two can dine, with drinks, for around £10. Then relax around the circular beach bar.

Please help! Can anybody tell me how much the food and drink in Kefalos is e.g. how much roughly would a meal for two cost?

Our favourite restaurant (mind you, it;'s hard to find a bad one). Right on the beach, with a beach bar and a more formal restaurant for evenings. Had several meals there but on the last night I had swordfish which was cooked to perfection. All staff very friendly. Big collie dog lives there. He's gorgeous. Also cheapest (but not best) English Breakfast I found.

Lovely Taverna, nice decor, located right on the beach. Great view of the bay, wonderful food, not the cheapest, but just the place for a romantic dinner for two. Good choice of both Greek dishes and pizza, pasta etc. We went towards the end of season, but it was still busy.
